Active Schools
Active Schools is a Scottish Executive initiative with a focus on making more children more active more often. The Active Schools Team in Shetland is based within the Community Development Service. Our Active Schools Co-ordinator is Mr James Johnston, he runs several clubs during and after school, including tennis and trampolining. Future activities include teaching children basic First Aid skills and golf for all 9 year olds.
After School Clubs
Various After School Clubs are run by Mrs Marshall and Miss Magnussen from October to Easter.. The children’s views are sought before deciding what to run. In the past we have held Art, Baking, Gym and Science Clubs.
Gardening Club
Miss Magnussen runs a Gardening Club from Easter until October. This again is on a Wednesday afternoon from 3pm - 4.15 pm. For more details on the School Grounds please click here.
Children attending the After School Clubs must have permission slips completed and must be collected at 4.15pm.
