Primary 1-4
There are 12 pupils in our class, our teacher is Mrs Fiona Marshall, one day one week and two days the next, Mrs Jeanette Leask teaches us as Mrs Marshall is in the office.
There are five of us in Primary 1 just now, we are learning to read, write and count. We use Jolly Phonics, to learn our sounds and we the Oxford Reading Tree books to help our reading. We practise writing our letters in various ways and in our Nelson Writing Books. We learn to count to 20 and add and subtract to 10 using Scottish Heinemann Maths. More details of our work for this term is available in our termly guide.
In Primary 2 there are three of us. We use Jolly Grammar, to practise our spelling and to learn more about language. We use Oxford Reading Tree books for reading. We learn to write capital letters and begin to join our letters using Nelson Handwriting Workbooks. We learn to count to 100 and add and subtract to 20 using Scottish Heinemann Maths. Our termly guide will give you more details.
Primary 3 has two pupils. We use Nelson books for handwriting, spelling, grammar and comprehension. We use Oxford Reading Tree for reading and Scottish Heinemann Maths. The work we are doing for this term is available in our termly guide.
In Primary 4 there are two pupils who use the same books as Primary 3, but the next level up. Again this is available in the P4 termly guide.
