There are 9 pupils in our class, our teacher is Mrs Fiona Marshall. One and a half days per week, Mrs Laura Meier takes the class to allow Mrs Marshall admin time.
There are three pupils in Primary 1 just now, who are learning to read, write and count. We use Jolly Phonics, to learn our sounds and we use Oxford Reading Tree books to help develop our reading skills. We practise writing our letters in various ways and in our Nelson Writing Books. We learn to count to 20 and add and subtract to 10 using various schemes including Tee Jay and SEAL. More details of our work for this term is available in our termly guide.
In Primary 2 there are five of us. We use Nelson, to practise our spelling and to learn more about language. We use Oxford Reading Tree books for reading. We learn to write capital letters and begin to join our letters using Nelson Handwriting Workbooks. We learn to count to 100 and add and subtract to 20 using various schemes including Scottish Heinemann Maths, SEAL and Tee Jay. Our termly guide will give you more details.
Primary 3 has one pupil. We mainly use Nelson books for handwriting, spelling, grammar and comprehension. As well as Oxford Reading Tree for reading, we use non fiction books linked to our topics and do a novel study. In Maths we use Scottish Heinemann Maths, Tee Jay and online resources. The work we are doing for this term is available in our termly guide.
